About the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality assessment that focuses on innate preferences – preferences that impact our relationships, life decisions, and career paths. Developed by Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs-Myers, and based on Carl Jung’s theories on personality, the MBTI is a useful reference for further understanding yourself as you make important decisions. The MBTI Step II goes beyond your 4-letter type to indicate 20 additional facets. As it relates to those in college or those just out of college, the MBTI is particularly helpful for gaining clarity around such questions as “What major(s) should I consider?” “Is this the right career for me?” and “Am I with the right partner?”
About Brief Coaching
Brief Coaching enables clients to gain a spark and generate momentum within a short timeframe. Rather than maintaining a multi-month or multi-year long coaching process, Brief Coaching offers a rigorous and efficient method for gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and a clearer sense of purpose and direction. Brief Coaching includes one, two, or three 45-minutes sessions done in person, via Skype, or via phone; required pre- and post-work also help clients build and maintain traction.
About Christine O’Neal
While working for years with young adults, Christine discovered that many of the brightest and most talented twenty-somethings left college feeling stuck, uncertain what to do with their lives, and in need of a meaningful answer to the searing question, “What Now?” Most held degrees from esteemed universities, though found themselves frustrated and underprepared to leap from college to meaningful and profitable careers. Most considered themselves to be in the midst of a quarterlife crisis.
Responding not only to her own observations and experience but also to Emerging Adulthood research trends, Christine has built her professional career around understanding twenty-somethings and how to help them make wiser decisions while pursuing meaningful lives. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona in Family Studies and Human Development and holds a Masters degree from the University of Kentucky. She also completed graduate work toward a PhD in Family Studies and Human Development at the University of Arizona with a special interest in Emerging Adulthood. Christine is certified as a personal and executive coach through the College of Executive Coaching and is certified to administer the MBTI through CPP. Christine also leads workshops for universities and organizations, and consults for Silicon Valley start-ups. She particularly enjoys collaborating with other specialists in her field to deliver relevant and timely professional development programs.
